Electrical Educator with Solar Experience

Are you an A Grade electrician with recent solar installation experience? If so, we’d love to hear from U. If you are not a qualified teacher, we will train you up!

The Centre for U is an education and well-being support centre based in North Melbourne. The facility provides quality training to ETU members, their family and the broader electrical industry.

We are growing and in need of an educator to deliver solar grid-connect training with a partner RTO and other electrical training such as construction wiring, A grade refresher and infection control for construction sites.

About the role

As an educator, you will:

  • Be responsible for the planning and delivery of training and assessment
  • Lead the development, review and improvement of learning and assessment strategies and materials that relate to the above courses
  • Ensure that any accredited training delivered meets the requirements of the national training package
  • Periodically consult with industry on relevancy of training
  • Participate in validation of assessment tools and training and assessment strategies

Criteria

  • Mandatory: Hold a current A Class Electrician’s licence
  • Hold Clean Energy Council Grid-Connect Solar Accreditation
  • Hold the TAE40110 or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher (or be willing to be trained up to be a trainer/assessor)
  • Demonstrated industry experience installing solar systems and in the construction sector
  • Police and Working with Children’s check
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

An attractive salary package of $130k is available for the right person.
