To become an Approved Solar Retailer you must pay an initial application fee and an ongoing annual fee. The annual fee can be as little as $600 per year for small businesses and increases on a sliding scale based on the size of your business.

If your application is successful, you will need to pay your first annual fee once your application is approved.
The minimum fee is $600 and the maximum is $6000.
The fee is calculated at the rate of $0.80 per kW of solar or $0.80 per kWh of nominal battery capacity (values as per manufacturer's declaration) installed by the applicant in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.
A company with franchisees will only pay a maximum fee of $6000.
